We at Screendragon believe you care about how your personal information is used and shared. We take the respect and privacy of your information very seriously and we are committed to following and evolving recognized best practices that support this.  This Privacy policy details information about how we collect, store, use and disclose information about you when you interact with this website (“The Website”), any of our web applications (“Screendragon Products”) or any other services provided by Screendragon to our customers or end users (“The Services”).

What does this Privacy Policy Cover?

This Privacy Policy covers our treatment of information that we gather on our systems when you are accessing or using the website, Screendragon products or the services provided by us. We gather various types of information from our users, including information that identifies you as an individual (“Personal Information”), as explained in more detail below.

What information does Screendragon collect?

Information you provide to us:

We collect Personal Information that you choose to send to us, for example, on our “Request a Demo” (or similar) online form. The purpose of this data collection is to offer you a trial or a demo of our product and to add your email address to our mailing list. You can easily request that your email address be removed from this mailing list at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of all emails that you receive from us.

OPTION 1) When you use the Products: You may choose to enter personal information in your profile or upload files to be processed by the service. Where you are using the product with an account created by a Screendragon client, the content you upload is processed by Screendragon. The purpose of collecting this data is to facilitate your use of the product.  The client is the authority that decides how the product is used. Screendragon does not control how the client uses the features of the product. Our clients may have their own policies governing their data which apply to your use of the product.

Information we automatically collect:

When you use the Websites: When you visit the Websites, we collect certain information related to your device, such as your device’s IP address and the time that your device visited our Website.

When you use the products: 

Usage information – In order to provide metrics that display how the product is used, user activity for example, logging in, viewing or downloading content is automatically processed.

Log information – we log information about our customers and their users when you use one of the products including Internet Protocol (“IP”) address.

Information collected by cookies and other similar technologies – we use various technologies to collect information which may include saving cookies to users’ computers.

On what legal basis do we collect personal information?

When interacting with the website, we gather information only with your prior consent. You will have the option to choose whether to allow the use of Cookies and which you have the option to provide to us given by clicking on the marketing Opt-In checkbox, located on the demo or trial request form, you authorize us to process your data solely to offer you a trial or a demo of our service. The legal basis for this is to comply with Article 6 of the General Data Protection Regulations which comes into effect from May 25th 2018.

Products:  Screendragon will only processes personal data in accordance with the agreed terms of a contract or statement of work which has been signed by both Screendragon and its customer. The legal basis for this is as per Article 6.1.(f) of the General Data Protection Regulations.

How do we use the information?

We may use the information we collect via our Websites:

  • To improve our Website to ensure that content is presented in the most effective manner for you;
  • For purposes made clear to you at the time you submit your information – for example, to fulfill your request for a demo, to provide you with access to one of our webinars or whitepapers or to provide you with information you have requested about our products;
  • As part of our efforts to keep our Website safe and secure.

We may also use the information you send to us to communicate with you via email and, possibly, other means, regarding products, services, offers, promotions and events we think may be of interest to you, if this is in accordance with your marketing preferences.  You will always be able to opt-out of such communications at any time (see the “Your Choices” section below).

 We may use the information we collect from our customers and their users in connection with Screendragon Products we provide, for a range of reasons, including to:

  • Create or administer your account
  • Provide, operate and maintain the product.
  • Manage our customers’ use of the product, respond to enquiries and comments and provide customer service and support;
  • Send customers technical alerts, updates, security notifications, and administrative communications;
  • Investigate and prevent fraudulent activities, unauthorized access to the products, and other illegal activities; and
  • For any other purposes about which we notify customers and users.
How do we share and disclose information to third parties?

We do not rent or sell your Personal Information to anyone. We may share and disclose information (including Personal Information) about our customers in the following limited circumstances:

Suppliers, consultants and other service providers:  We may share your information with third party suppliers, consultants and other service providers who we employ to perform tasks on our behalf.

Products: If Screendragon has received your Personal Information and subsequently transfers that information to a third party agent or service provider for processing, Screendragon shall remain responsible for ensuring that such third party agent or service provider processes your Personal Information to the standard required by the GDPR. Screendragon staff do not have any right to use your Personal Information beyond what is necessary to provide customer support.

Business Transfers: We may choose to buy or sell assets and may share and/or transfer customer information in connection with the evaluation of and entry into such transactions. Also, if we (or our assets) are acquired, or if we go out of business, enter bankruptcy, or go through some other change of control, Personal Information could be one of the assets transferred to or acquired by a third party.

Protection of Screendragon and Others: We reserve the right to access, read, preserve, and disclose any information as necessary to comply with law or court order; enforce or apply our agreements with you and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Screendragon, our employees, our users, or others.

Is personal information about me secure?

We implement technical, organizational and administrative security measures to protect any personal information we hold in our records from loss, destruction and unauthorized access or modification. Unfortunately, no company or service can guarantee complete security. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of user information at any time. Among other practices, your account is protected by a password for your privacy and security. You must prevent unauthorized access to your account and Personal Information by selecting and protecting your password appropriately and limiting access to your computer or device and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your account. It is also advisable to check the accuracy of the content in your user profile occasionally.

Cookies and other tracking technologies

Some of our products use cookies (small text files containing a string of alphanumeric characters that we put on your computer). We use this information for the following purposes:

  • Analysing your use of our products, services or applications; and
  • Assisting with our promotional and marketing efforts (including behavioural advertising).

What choices do I have?

You can choose not to disclose information to us, however keep in mind that some information is needed to receive a demonstration of our product or to use our services.

If you would prefer not to accept cookies, most browsers allow you to specify this in your settings. You can choose to be notified when cookies or other tracking technologies are in use, or disable them altogether. Disabling cookies may limit your ability to use the website or Services provided by Screendragon.

You will be given the option via a cookie preferences pop up to accept or reject the cookies in use on our website.

Marketing communications

You can opt-out of receiving promotional or marketing communications from us at any time, by using the unsubscribe link in the marketing emails communications we send.

How can I update and access my information (exercise my data subject rights)?

If you would like to access, review, update, rectify, and/or delete any Personal Information we hold about you, or exercise any other data subject right available to you under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you can email privacy@screendragon.com with your request.

Our team will examine your request and respond to you as quickly as possible!

Please note that we may still use any aggregated and de-identified Personal Information that does not identify any individual and may also retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

When submitting a Subject Access Request, you may be asked to provide the following information:

1)        Requestor’s Name

2)        Requestors work email address

3)        Requestors work issued phone number

Regarding information held by us in relation to your use of our website, we will respond to your request by email with a copy of your request and if appropriate, a copy of the personal information that we hold. We will respond to your inquiry typically within a few days and no later than 1 month after your request.

Regarding information in Screendragon Products, you may modify or delete information in your own profile by logging in to your account. If you wish to have information permanently deleted, please check with the administrator or the application manager of the Screendragon product within your company or contact privacy@screendragon.com.

If you are unsatisfied with the response you receive, you have the right to complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner in Ireland.

International data transfers

Personal Information you submit on the Website or through the Services is sent to our hosted servers. Our product offerings include the ability to host your data in servers located in the EU or the United States. Your personal information will be primarily processed by us in Ireland and potentially in other countries, on our servers or on our hosted service providers’ cloud servers on our behalf. These countries may not have similar data protection laws to those in your country of residence. However, we will always protect your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy wherever it is processed.

Do not track

As there is not yet a universally agreed response to how Do Not Track signals should be responded to, our Service does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals. You can learn more about DNT at https://allaboutdnt.com/

Children

We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected Personal Information from a child under age 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that a child under 13 may have provided us Personal Information, please contact us at privacy@screendragon.com.

Will Screendragon ever share this privacy policy?

We’re constantly trying to improve our website and products, so we may need to change this Privacy Policy from time to time as well. We will alert you to material changes by, for example, placing a notice on our company website and/or by sending you an email (if you have registered your e-mail details with us) when we are required to do so by applicable law. You can see when this Privacy Policy was last updated by checking the date at the top of this page. You are responsible for periodically reviewing this Privacy Policy.
